Advice for Trail Runners: The Brooks Women's Caldera 7 Running Shoes provide grip, stability and soft cushioning. Helping you to confidently traverse long trails.

Underfoot Feel

The midsole provides very soft cushioning, thanks to nitrogen infused DNA LOFT v3 cushioning. The comfort from plush cushioning should be ideal for long trail runs, especially over rocky or hard underfoot terrain.

The following features help you have stable landings on uneven terrain:

  • Raised midfoot foam walls. 
  • A widened base with added flex grooves on the outsole.

Rather uniquely, the forefoot outsole design uses biomimicry of mountain goat hooves. Helping you to successfully move forward on muddy and rocky trails.

Upper Fit

When you are running on trails, it is really important that your foot is held securely within the upper. To help with this, the upper has an external cage to securely hold your foot. The upper's fit is adaptable at the midfoot.

The Caldera 7's upper should provide a great balance between breathability and durability.

Ideal Run Type

The Brooks Women's Caldera 7 Running Shoes are best for long trail runs over challenging terrain. Underfoot conditions on the trail can produce substantial challenges. The Caldera 7 are designed to help you overcome such challenges.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
